Does Congress Hide Unfunded State and Inter-generational Debts?
Unfunded State and Inter-generational Debts
Congress hides huge unfunded government overspending in financial obligations unilaterally imposed on the States, Cities and in Inter-generational debts upon our children. For example:
- The NCSL (National Conference of State Legislatures) identified that “Congress shifted at least $131 billion in costs to states over the five year period of 2004 to 2008, according to NCSL’s Mandate Monitor.”
- In 2015, a typical family of four owes (as Inter-generational debts) national debt of $225,000 that the government has borrowed in their names.
