Initiatives v Oligarchy

Our Founders' Warning: “Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.” (Thomas Jefferson)

Limit on Candidate Initiatives

The number of Direct and Advisory Candidate Initiatives on the ballot at each even-year federal election shall be limited to less than the maximum that the Voters believe acceptable, including:

  1. Any obligatory Candidate Initiatives from Congress.
  2. Any Candidate Initiatives needed to bring the Initiative Rules up-to-date.
  3. IQA Members’ Recognition of Effort and Bonus Rewards Candidate Initiative.

The IQA is responsible to ensure that the total of all Candidate Initiatives must not overburden the Electorate.
